Sparring Recording Guidelines
Why these guidelines matter
AICO helps boxers save their sparring sessions, receive video after training and, when the recording format is correct, access performance analytics.
For the system to work properly, sparring should follow a clear structure: predefined rounds, no unnecessary people in the ring and no constant interruptions.
The main goal of these guidelines is to create the right pattern of use:
two boxers sparring, no distractions, clear rounds.
This format gives the best result: clean video, reliable processing and, when available, accurate analytics.

- Set your rounds and rest time.
- Start recording before you spar.
- Keep the ring clear.
- Avoid constant interruptions.
Full Guidelines
1. Best-case scenario: two boxers in the ring
The best format for AICO is when there are only two boxers in the ring.
In this scenario, the system can process the session correctly, prepare the recording and, when analytics are available, calculate performance metrics.
In this scenario, the user can receive:
- sparring video;
- highlights, if available for the session;
- analytics, if enabled for this club or format;
- a recording that can be used to track progress over time.
Key rule:
2 boxers in the ring = best video quality and analytics.
2. Supported limited scenario: four people in the ring
Four people can be in the ring if two sparring pairs are working at the same time.
In this case, AICO can send the recording, but analytics will not be available for this session.
This is not an error or a system issue. The system can capture the video, but it cannot calculate individual performance metrics correctly when more than one pair is sparring in the ring.
Important:
Four people in the ring is a supported format for video recording, as long as the other recording rules are followed: rounds are set correctly, the recording is started properly and the sparring is not constantly interrupted.
3. Not supported yet: more than four people in the ring
More than four people in the ring is not supported yet.
If there are more than four people in the ring, the system may not send the recording.
4. When the recording may not be sent
A recording may not be sent if the system cannot process the session correctly.
This may happen if:
- there were more than 4 people in the ring;
- the sparring was constantly interrupted;
- the recording rules were not followed;
- an exceptional event happened that prevented the system from processing the session;
- the session did not match the selected round settings;
- the recording was started or stopped incorrectly.
5. Before sparring
Before sparring, the user should start the recording on the AICO tablet next to the ring.
What the user needs to do:
- Tap Start session.
- Choose their own nickname or register if they are using AICO for the first time.
- Set the number of rounds.
- Set round time and rest time.
- Make sure there are no more than the supported number of people in the ring.
- Tap Start recording before the sparring begins.
Important:
Users must only choose their own nickname.
If a boxer chooses someone else’s nickname, the recording may be linked to the wrong person.
6. After sparring
After the session, AICO processes the recording.
When processing is complete, the user receives a personal video link by email.
If the session was recorded in the best format, the user may also receive highlights and analytics, depending on what is enabled for that club or session type.
What the user should know:
- the video link is sent after processing;
- processing time may vary;
- analytics are only available for supported formats;
- if the recording cannot be processed correctly, it may not be sent.
